We’re holding a breakfast seminar to discuss the findings in our recent survey about hiring challenges in the healthcare industry.

With pressure on Nursing at an all-time high and Brexit on the horizon, recruitment in the healthcare sector has become more challenging than ever. A shortage of healthcare professionals both in the public and private sectors means that existing staff are put under additional pressure, so it’s no surprise that healthcare providers are having to increasingly draw on both recruitment agencies to bring candidates to them and temporary agency staff to fill the gaps.

Being able to recruit and retain enough of the right people is now the number one priority for most, and it’s becoming clearer that those who do this well will outperform those that don’t.

Our 2017 mini survey of resourcing heads in the healthcare sector showed that:

• Nursing recruitment was absolutely the number one challenge for all
• Significant increases in employer branding were planned in the hope of easing the pain
• But most were unsure of where to focus this more strategic approach.

There are huge opportunities for employers to get ahead of this crisis by applying more of the tools and methodologies associated with customer marketing in their employer marketing approaches.
